velma, Leona Morris, age 80 of Waseca, died at the Pleasant Manor Nursing home in Faribault on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. Born in Le Sueur County on August 23, 1937, Velma was the daughter of Donald and Florence (Brown) Bluhm.  She attended school in Waterville.  On June 9, 1954 she married Glen C.

Brian Richard Lueck, age 46 of Elysian passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 surrounded by his family. Born on September 20, 1971 in Mankato, Minnesota, Brian was the son of Richard and Audrey (Weigt) Lueck.  He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato.  Brian graduated from Immanuel Lutheran High School and went on to earn various degrees at Minnesota State University-Mankato in Engineering and Computer Information Systems.  Brian worked at the MN Dept.

Betty Jane Taylor, age 88 of Elysian died on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato. Born on July 6, 1929 in Elysian, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Fred and Olga (Linnum) Siefert.  She attended school in rural Elysian before graduating from Waterville High School.  She married Earle Taylor on May 21, 1949 at the Elysian Methodist Church.  Betty Jane worked primarily as a homemaker, later working as an aide at the Waterville Good Samaritan Center.  She enjoyed gardening, baking, traveling, going to garage sa

Glende, age 91, of Waterville died on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, North Morristown on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Juan Palm, officiating.  Interment and military rites will be at Concordia Cemetery, North Morristown. Visitation will be at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 3 to 7 p.m.

Ruth a Dahl, age 91 of Waterville passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at her home.

Born on January 23, 1927 in Elysian Township, Le Sueur County, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Edgar and Adelia (Roemhildt) Morsching.  Ruth was married to Ray Jahn and she later married Ernie Dahl.

John Norbert Wilcox, age 73, of Centerville, Massachusetts, passed away on May 2, 2018.  John was born on February 7, 1945 to Irene and Norbert “Bud” Wilcox in Faribault, Minnesota. He grew up in Elysian, Minnesota and worked with his dad and brother Allan Wilcox in the family newspapers in Elysian and Waterville. After graduating from Mankato State University, John continued his newspaper career working for the Mankato Free Press.
