Gregory John Vlasak, 73, of Montgomery passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at his home. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 1 from 4 to 8 at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 2 at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery, with Pastor Jason Pollington officiating with visitation one hour prior at the church.
Interment will be held in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Montgomery Area Veterans Honor Guard. 

Dr. Richard D. Olson, age 87, of New Prague, died peacefully with his family at his side on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Lakeview Memorial Hospital in Stillwater.  Richard was born on April 21, 1934, in Minneapolis to Emil and Helen (Brackett) Olson.  He grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Washburn High School.

Winnifred T. “Winnie” Simon, age 75, of New Prague, died Friday night, March 25th, her mother’s birthday, at her home with her family at her side.  Winnie was born on June 4, 1946 at New Prague Community Hospital to Thomas T. and Mary W. (Benes) Franek.  She grew up in the St. Patrick area and attended country school there and graduated from New Prague High School.  She married Dennis L. Simon on November 25, 1967, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, where they were the first to christen the new social hall with their wedding reception.  They lived first in St.

Kathleen Budin, age 92 of Northfield, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 17, 2022, at Three Links Care Center.

Robert J. Goggins, age 85, of New Prague, died peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Praha Village in New Prague.  He was born on June 10, 1936 in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin to Patrick Henry and Anna Mae (Duffy) Goggins.  He grew up in Chilton, WI, attending St. Augustine Parochial School and graduating from Chilton High School.  He attended college for a brief time before entering the US Army for 3 years.  He attained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Math from Oshkosh State College, where he was voted prom king and served as the captain of his college baseball team.

Marie Nelson, 104, of Northfield, passed away Saturday evening, March 19, 2022, at the Long Term Care Center in the Northfield Hospital.

Beverly Bissell Graf, age 79, of Aitkin, Minnesota, formerly of New Prague, passed away at her home on Friday, March 11, 2022, with her loving family by her side.

Mary Ann Bauer, age 85, of Jordan, MN, entered eternal life on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Oak Terrace Senior Living, in Jordan, MN. She led a simple life by example! Mary Ann grew up with her parents instilling the values of a strong faith foundation, family closeness and working hard together.  

Robert F. “Bob” Vohnoutka, age 88, of Prior Lake, formerly of New Prague, died suddenly on March 14, 2022 at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital. Bob was born on September 17, 1933 at home at Cedar Lake to Frank and Bessie (Pavlicek) Vohnoutka. He attended country school at St. Patrick and then New Prague Elementary School. Bob entered the US Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict from 1953-57. Shortly after discharge, he met the beautiful young woman who would become his wife. Delilah “Dee” Korbel and Bob were married at St.

Leonard M. Mader, age 68, of New Prague, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 14, 2022, after a very brief time at Mayo Service Health System Hospital Rochester, St. Mary Campus.  Leonard was born on November 30, 1953 in St. Peter, MN to Leonard J. and Rosemary (Speikers) Mader.  He graduated from Le Center High School and then worked as a welder for 36 years.  He was gifted and unique in his trade in that he could weld anything whether metal or plastic. 

Nathan Kartak, age 30, of Montgomery, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at his home.  Nathan was born on June 10, 1991 to Christopher Kartak and Katherine Sloan at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague, MN.  He grew up and attended school in Moose Lake, MN and entered the US Army at age 18 and served a tour in Iraq.  Most recently Nathan worked at Seneca in Montgomery but intended to get back into carpentry, which was his chosen occupation.

Leonard Kalal, age 85 of Northfield, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 10, 2022, at the Care Center of the Northfield Retirement Community.

Thomas Binczik, 81, of Le Center, died on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, of complications of dysphasia at Rochester Methodist Hospital.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 a.m. at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Father Tom Niehaus officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at St. John Lutheran Cemetery west of Montgomery.

Visitation for Kailey Lynn Mach will be Sunday March 6, 2022 from 4 to 8 pm at the Le Center Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022, at 11 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Le Center.

Jeanette A. Sticha, age 93, of Lonsdale, died peacefully with her family at her side on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at her home.  Jeanette was born on September 21, 1928 in Lonsdale to John T. and Cecelia (Malecha) Skluzacek.  She grew up in the Lonsdale area, attended country school, and graduated from Lonsdale High School.  She married Bohumil H.
