Wilfred Heine died peacefully at his home on January 14, 2024, at the age of 91 years.
Wil was born on May 24, 1932, in New Prague. His parents were William and Marie (Bohnsack) Heine.
Wil was baptized at Friedens Lutheran Church, New Prague, the church he attended his whole life. He attended New Prague Public Schools, graduating in 1950.
In 1954, he married Carol Bisek. Together they raised seven children: Denise (Bobby) Warfield, Rebecca (William) Kerr, Robert Heine, Timothy (Cathy) Heine, Jeffrey (Donna) Heine, Bruce Heine & Linette (Jeff) Scharlemann, all who survive him. He is also survived by his wife Carol, sister Louise Mattila, brother-in-law, Dennis Bisek, 18 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
He was preceeded in death by his parents William and Marie and sisters Ruth Springer & Judy Gease.
He was a lifelong farmer. When not busy with farming he did woodworking in his shop. A lover of music, he played trumpet in several old-time and community bands.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Friedens Lutheran Church on February 25, 2024, at 2:30pm. Visitation will take place in church from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
The family asks that NO flowers be sent. Memorials should be given to the charity of your choice. A light lunch will follow the service.
