Robert “Bob” Arnold Eide, 64, of New Prague, MN, passed away unexpectedly on 10/18/2026.
Bob was born on 3/25/1962 in Maplewood, MN, to Marcia (Becker) and Arnold Eide. Bob graduated from North St. Paul High School. His career as a chef began as a dishwasher turned unexpected line cook on a busy night, he later attended Culinary School, and went on to work at Tobies on the Lake, Schumachers, and ended his career as a restaurant chef at Mystic Lake.
Bob married Patricia Eide (Edel) on 5/16/1992. He will be remembered for his steadfast nature, caring heart, and longstanding hope they may still find something on Oak Island. Bob was a music lover through and through. He had a great passion for cooking, shown by his many tenured years as a chef. Bob was a dedicated and often disappointed Minnesota sports fan. He also loved the World of Outlaws Sprint Car racing. Bob was known for his great love for his family and found immense joy in being a Papa to his grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his wife, Patricia, and his children Alex (Megan) Eide of Shakopee, Michael (Sarah) Eide of Prior Lake, and Emmalee (Ryan) Rendall of Waconia; grandchildren, Tyson and Adeline Eide, Robert “Robbie” Eide, and Baby Girl Rendall coming in December. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, James Eide, and his father-in-law, Alvin Edel.
There will be no public celebration of life or funeral, per Bob’s wishes.
Hug the ones you love.
