Father Miller celebrating 25th anniversary of ordination

Father Michael J. Miller, son of Mary Jane Miller and the later Carlton E. Miller is marking the 25th anniversary of ordination Father Michael J. Miller, son of Mary Jane Miller and the late Carlton E. Miller is marking the 25th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood on Tuesday, May 25. He is currently the pastor for St. Patrick Catholic Church of Cedar Lake, and St. Catherine Catholic Church of Spring Lake Township in rural New Prague.
Following his ordination he served as associate pastor at the Church of St. Joseph in West St. Paul from June 19, 1996 – June 19, 2001; Pastor of the Churches of St. Peter and St. Joseph in Delano from July 6, 2001 – November 3, 2008; Pastor of the Churches of St. Michael and St. Mary in Stillwater from November 4, 2008 – June 30, 2015. On July 1, 2015 Fr. Miller began his term as Pastor of the Churches of St. Patrick of Cedar Lake, and St. Catherine of Spring Lake Township. He has been reappointed to a second six-year term by Archbishop Bernard Hebda.
A 1983 graduate of New Prague High School, Fr. Miller earned an Associate degree in diversified agriculture from the University of Minnesota, Waseca in June 1985. He returned to his parent’s dairy farm, 6 miles Southeast of New Prague on the Rice County side of Highway 28/2 and began farming full time until February 1989 when he decided to respond to what he believed was a calling to the priesthood by....
