The Montgomery Sharing Tree program wrapped up last week when 90 gift bags were delivered to residents in nursing homes, assisted living, or senior facilities who need some extra joy this season.
Organizer Eileen Segna said the pandemic eliminated any gift shopping for recipients this year. Instead, she used money that was still in the account and donations to purchase gifts for the residents.
She delivered the joy Friday.
“My heart is so full, delivered the last of the Sharing Tree gifts today. The smile on their faces say it all ... I am pleased to say after filling and delivering 90 bags, plus fruit baskets, baking supplies, and a donation to the school for families in need, we have completed the Sharing Tree requests,” she said. “I most certainly want to thank everyone who donated money this year because, without all of you, this could not have happened. May you all have a blessed Christmas!! Thanks again The Montgomery Sharing Tree!”
