Individuals arrested, charged by drug task force in Montgomery near a school Three children were removed from the home

In a press release from the Cannon River Drug and Violent Offender Task Force (CRDVOTF) on Oct. 27, agents were said to be conducting a narcotics investigation over several weeks on a residence at 203 Boulevard Avenue NE in Montgomery. The residence is within a block to the north side of Tri-City United Elementary and Middle School.
The release says that the investigation involved the sales of methamphetamine and cocaine by Benjamin Birk, a 24-yearold resident of that address. Agents said they received several citizen tips in regard to Birk’s activity.
On Oct. 24, agents from the CRDVOTF obtained a search warrant for Birk and his residence to look for controlled substances.
