Many families of Most Holy Redeemer School celebrated Halloween early on Friday, Oct. 27. They were greeted with various games with prizes, goodie bags, activities and a very popular dinner — hot dogs!
Some of the games included a homemade ring toss and a magnetic dart board. The prizes vary from small things like pencils to sought after larger bags of snacks and candy. Every child went home with something though from their goodie bags, which included plastic wearable vampire teeth, some snacks and some essentials like pencils.
There were plenty of activities to take in. They had a photo station set-up, an area to clean out your pumpkins, an area for carving your pumpkins, coloring, games, and more. Coordinator Neaner Kriha, who volunteers her time, said that she bought 70 pumpkins with the donations they received, in addition to being able to pay for all the prizes, goodies, dinner and activities for the families.
Kriha smiles about how the local businesses, organizations and individuals are willing to put their donations in the trust of what she calls “Neaner’s Projects,” that she hosts throughout the year for Most Holy Redeemer families. Of all the donors, she says the Montgomery...
