The Waterville-Elysian-Morristown K-6th grade students will return to in-person learning starting Monday, Jan. 11.
The WEM Board of Education approved this plan during their regular Monday, Dec. 21 meeting. Due to the board holding a Monday meeting, they were able to move the start date forward a week from the date which Governor Tim Walz announced Dec. 16.
Plans are to have 7-12th grade students return January 25th if COVID case counts in the county and specifically the local communities continue to drop. A decision on the older students will be made Thursday, Jan. 14 during a special meeting.
