Jerome “Jerry” Skluzacek, 55, of New London, died Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are with Harvey Anderson & Johnson Funeral Homes, www.hafh.org.
Jerome “Jerry” William Skluzacek was born August 5, 1969, in Elmhurst, Illinois, to Elgin and Patricia (Fountain) Skluzacek. Due to his father’s work, his family moved to Wyoming. In 1981, his family moved back to his parents’ home state and resided in Kandiyohi, Minnesota. He graduated from New London-Spicer High School in 1987 and attended Willmar Vo-Tech for drafting. Jerry worked for Hanson Silo; Granview Construction with Joe Fordyce; for Jesse Trebill; and since then, for FAST Global Solutions in Glenwood.
He took pride in being a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son, fiancée, dog dad, relative, neighbor, and friend.
He is survived by his much-loved fiancée, Lisa Ford and her daughter, Harley; a son, Jacob Skluzacek of Willmar; a stepson, Kody Koepp (fiancée, Danelle Hansen) of Willmar and their two children, Jaxton and Luxley; and his mother, Patricia Skluzacek of Willmar. He is also survived by brother, Guy (June) Skluzacek of Indiana and their two children, Zach and Emily; sister, Erika Skluzacek (Chris Rummenie) of Florida; sister-in-law, Cheryl Skluzacek of Fridley and her son Joe; additionally, his loyal companion, a Chocolate Lab named Coop; along with many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elgin Skluzacek; brother, Bill Skluzacek; and grandparents, Bill and Mary Skluzacek & Forest and Downing Fountain.
His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
