Darleen D. Tupy, 82

Darleen D. Tupy, age 82, of New Prague, died peacefully on Monday, July 4^th, 2022 at Mala Strana Health and Rehabilitation Center.  Darleen was born on December 17, 1939 in Wheatland Township, Rice County, MN to Casper J. and Mary E. (Simota) Dols.  She grew up in the Veseli area, attending Most Holy Trinity Parochial School and graduating from NPHS.  She married Leonard M. Tupy in Veseli on June 3, 1958.  She was not blessed with children so her nieces and nephews were her blessings and treasures.  Darleen worked her entire life as a pharmaceutical assistant at McMahon Snyder Drug and was the smiling face with a sharp wit who greeted customers at the pharmacy. 

 Darleen enjoyed fishing, especially when Leonard was still living.  She was an avid Bingo player and never missed the Tuesday night Bingos at the KC Hall and traveled to Mystic Lake to enjoy a game or two.  She also attended not only every church festival at St. Wenceslaus but also those at the surrounding area churches.  Darleen always had a smile on her face and a quick joke to share and her upbeat attitude will be missed by her family and all who knew her.

 Darleen is survived by her nieces and nephews, Laure (Kevin) Jirak of New Prague, David Dols of Lonsdale, Debbie (Mike) Brockway of Le Center; 5 great-nieces & -nephews; 4 great-great-nieces & -nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard on November 2, 1992; parents; brother, Leonard Dols; great-niece, Stacy Jirak.

 A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home with MaryCarol Wolf officiating.  Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to service.  Burial will occur at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery followed by lunch at the KC Hall.  bruzekfuneralhome.com
