Fredrick Albert Roushar, 68

Fredrick Albert Roushar, age 68, passed away February 2, 2022. Fred was born in Minneapolis, MN, on July 19, 1953 to Albert & Sylvia Roushar. He grew up in Chanhassen, MN and later moved to Lonsdale, MN where he spent the remainder of his life.

He worked for 47 years as a Tool & Die Maker and found a deep satisfaction with his profession. He enjoyed spending time with family, but especially watching his grandchildren play in sports. He was the kind of man who enjoyed conversations with anyone, particularly with family, friends and neighbors. He was someone that you could always count on to be there if you needed help with anything. 

Fred’s hobbies included landscaping, gardening, woodworking, fishing, and hunting. Fred had a love for the outdoors which was shared with family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman who genuinely enjoyed hunting and fishing. This passion for the outdoors spanned from Alaska to Africa. He enjoyed passing down the tradition with many family trips. In his adventures with family and friends, he created many memories which will be deeply cherished. For all those that knew him, we are forever honored to be part of his life.

Fred is proceeded in death by his parents Albert & Sylvia Roushar; sisters Mary Roushar Anthony, Margaret Menning and brother Thomas Roushar. He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Suzanne Roushar; sister Katherine Jorgenson (Carl); sister-in-law Phyllis Roushar (Thomas); brother-in-law Bruce Menning (Margaret), aunt Mildred Nordahl, uncle Emmett Anderson; children and grandchildren; Steven (Carrie), Claire, Gage Roushar; Brian (Kelly) Roushar; Daniel (Rachelle), Madison, Mason, Hudson Roushar; Julie, Bryce Kangas; Amy (Dustin), Ben, Samantha Rasmussen, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 7 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM and Tuesday before service from 9:00 - 9:45 AM at the White Funeral Home in Lonsdale (507-744-2368), MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 8 at 10:00 AM at The Church of the Immaculate Conception in Lonsdale, MN followed by a luncheon at the American Legion in Lonsdale, MN.
