Fitterer leads Titans at two meets

Tri-City United sophomore Grant Fitterer was the leading runner for the Titan boys cross country team during two early season events.

Fitterer placed third last week at the St. Peter Meet, running the 5,000-meter course in 18:50.

He improved on that time during the 26 team Gerry Smith Invitational Thursday, Sept. 7 at the Montgomery National Golf Club. He improved his time to 17:56 in placing 41st among 202 total runners.

At. St. Peter, the Titans placed third among four teams with 98 points. New Prague was the team champion with 24 points, ahead of runner-up St. Peter with 69 points.
