Painters come together to raise funds for Veterans Memorial

Three Minnesota based painting companies and Titan, distributor of spray painting equipment, came together earlier this year to raise funds for the New Prague Veterans Memorial. Nick Slavik Painting & Restoration, Mr. Moles Painting and Headwaters Painting did a project between New Prague and Prior Lake, where they raised money for the Veterans Memorial project that will be built along the city’s Main Street in 2020.

“This is a very special project,” said Nick Slavik, who owns and operates Nick Slavik Painting & Restoration, based in New Prague. He said the three Minnesota painting companies came together to donate all of their time and resources to the New Prague Veterans Memorial. All of the money they made on the job was donated to the Veterans Memorial.

All three of the painting companies came together on one of Slavik’s standard jobs, a repaint of a house and shed. “So we are bringing these three companies together for one day, to paint the entire thing, and take all the money we make and give it to that local veterans organization,” said Slavik. Crews from the three businesses paired up in teams to paint the house.
