Nine players score in 21-6 Trojan win over Waconia

A complete team effort by the New Prague girls lacrosse team lifted them to a 21-6 win over Waconia Tuesday, May 3.

Senior Eme Halbmaier scored 10 goals, sophomore Payton Pumper scored three goals, and sophomore Ellie Schmidt scored two goals to lead the Trojans. Junior Joslyn Brotemarkle had eight assists and junior Calista Brotemarkle had seven ground ball controls.

“Waconia started out strong early as we were trying out a new defense,” head coach Julie Wegner Bowers said. “The girls did a great job of adjusting and we came out on top.”
