Lillian A. Havlicek, 91

Lillian A. Havlicek, 91, of New Prague, died peacefully, on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Mala Strana.

Lillian was born on January 7, 1929 to John and Bessie (Trcka) Flicek. She grew up on a Montgomery rural farm located by Cody Lake in Wheatland Township.  Lillian married Joseph J. Havlicek on November 4, 1947 in Lonsdale. Lillian and Joe lived on a farm by Lonsdale where they raised their daughter Linda.

Lillian held various jobs throughout the years as a factory worker, at Mystic Lake Casino and Mala Strana in Housekeeping.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and VFW.  Pastimes were enjoyed traveling, hosting card games and gardening. She especially enjoyed making Rosette cookies to share with neighbors and teach friends.  

Lillian is survived by her daughter, Linda Havlicek (Bill Hall), of New Prague; sisters: Georgina Barta of New Prague, Evelyn Bartusek of Webster, Betty Ann (Joe) Ziskovsky of Lonsdale, and Donna (Ron) Dols of New Prague.

Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, Joe; sister, Lorraine  Adamek; brother, Elmer A. Flicek; parents, John and Bessie Flicek and stepfather George Trcka.

Private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 21, 2020 at Bruzek Funeral Home.  Burial will take place at St. John’s Cemetery in Veseli.  bruzekfuneralhome.com
