Drew Novak, age 38, passed away due to a snowmobile accident on November 30, 2019 near Pequot Lakes, MN. Preceded in death by grandparents, Lando and Angie Busch and Emil and Elsie Novak; uncle, Glenn Busch and aunt Nancy Vescio.

Survived by his wife, Janelle; parents, Dave and Sandi Novak; siblings, twin sister Lindy (Derek) Sandmann and Dylan (Brianna) Novak; nieces and nephews, Avery, Caden, and Gavin; aunts and uncles, Jan Busch, Dale (Michelle) Busch, Judi (Carl Johnson) Palmstein, Diane (Ike) Isaacson, Karen (Dr. John) Kraft, Mary (Bill) Osborn, Arlene (Bill) Kindseth, Sandy Giesen, Fred Vescio and many loving cousins.

Drew was born on July 21, 1981, and was raised in Lakeville. He attended Lakeville elementary school and graduated high school in 2000. He then attended St. Cloud State University where he received a Bachelor of Science majoring in Finance in 2004. He later continued his education achieving a second major in Accounting from Metropolitan State.

Throughout his career, he worked at The Hartford, Ernst & Young, and Entegris.

Drew was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being outdoors and on the water. He held pride in providing walleye for family dinners. He loved the tradition of fishing trips and tournaments with his uncles and friends.

In 2015, Drew and Janelle began dating. After many great dates and wonderful trips together, they planned a skiing trip to Colorado in 2017. While on top of a mountain, he proposed. They were then married in a historic blizzard on April 14, 2018.

Drew loved his family and insisted on keeping the annual Novak ski trip to Lutsen. Every year, a picture of the skiers would be taken on top of 'Big Bunny' ski hill. Drew was an experienced skier who would always lead the family down 'Caden's Tornado' with his niece Avery bombing the hill close behind him.

Drew had energy and personality that brought everyone together for good conversation and lots of laughs. Countless memories will never be forgotten and he will be missed deeply by his family and friends.
