The New Prague Chamber of Commerce has a new assistant as Amber Fischer began that job on Monday, April 15. She will be working with Chamber Executive Director Brooke Sticha on the array of chamber sponsored events from the upcoming New Prague Half- Marathon, 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, May 4, to this fall’s Dozinky Festival.

She, her husband Todd and their four children have been living in New Prague for three years. Originally from Boise, ID, she and Todd lived in Wisconsin for some time. They moved to New Prague when Todd was transferred by his job with Seneca. “We got to New Prague and decided this would be a good place to raise our kids,” she said.

Fischer saw an ad for the chamber assistant in the newspaper and decided to apply. “My youngest is in preschool and I thought this would fit in with my life,” said Fischer. She noted she had a business as a photographer where she did weddings and family photos and feels that will help with her job at the chamber. She is looking forward to working in the chamber and helping the community and provide business owners the support they need.

“I’ve been meeting a lot of people already,” said Fischer. “Brooke is an amazing person and I’m really excited and like being on Main Street.”
