Allan Alfred Neeser, 88

Allan Alfred Neeser, age 88, of Horton, Michigan, originally of New Prague, Minnesota died at Arbor Manor in Spring Arbor Michigan on December 8, 2024.  He was born on July 25, 1936, to Leo and Grace (Voerding) Neeser in St. Cloud, Minnesota where he met and married his first wife, Marjorie Lumley in February 1958.  

Allan received his teaching degree from St. Cloud State University in 1960. His teaching career took him to Nevis, Minnesota, and later brought him to New Prague in 1962, where he and Marjorie raised their five children.  Allan taught Business Education at NPHS until he retired in 1993.  Allan was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed spending time at the family cabin in northern Minnesota. He kept busy with numerous painting and handyman projects, along with a brief career as a real estate agent.  In his later years, he wintered in Port Aransas, Texas where he met his second wife, Lola Tenney, where they were married in 2007.  Allan and Lola enjoyed their time fishing in Alaska and Texas.

He is survived by his wife Lola, his children, Sheryl Pupkes, Tim (Katie Ruehling), Karen (Wes Flaga), Steven (Vicki), and Jill (Fritz Voracek), 11 grandchildren, Taylor and John (Jaclyn) Pupkes, Paige (Dave Koehne), Ian and Tad Neeser, Adrian (Alexis) and Melissa (Dylan Libbert) Kipp, Brooke and Bridget Neeser, Callie (Jeremy Plonski) and Zoe Voracek; and seven great-grandchildren,  Adler and Avery Pupkes, Cash and Stella Koehne, Amos Kipp, Ariel and Hartman Plonski; his sisters Virginia Mortenson (Ken) and Mary Greene (Jim).  

Allan was preceded in death by his parents, sister LaVonne Malikowksi and spouse Lawrence, brothers James Neeser (and spouse Jan) and Loy Neeser (and spouse Carole). He was also preceded in death by sons-in-law Joe Pupkes and Uwe Kipp.

A private celebration of life will be held later.
