Three teams still undefeated in DRS

Prior Lake, Faribault, and New Market are each undefeated after the third weekend of the DRS Amateur Baseball Schedule.

Prior Lake picked up a pair of wins, downing Montgomery, 8-3, Friday, May 14 and edging Lonsdale, 3-2, Sunday, May 16.

The Faribault squad is 3-0 after defeating Elko, 13- 2, handing the Express their first loss.

New Prague, Lonsdale, St. Benedict, Union Hill, and Elko each have 2-1 records.

Here is a look at some of the contests from last weekend:

New Prague left the bases loaded three times but were able to score eight runs in an 8-0 win over Shakopee. Nathan Sprouls pitched six innings striking out 11. James Feurniss and Frank Ruzicka allowed only two hits in the final three innings. Jacob Mader, Spencer Kajer, Anthony Mader, and Simon Solheid had two hits each for New Prague.

Carter Johnson had hit a home run and Andress Heuss smacked a pair of doubles in St. Ben’s win over Shakopee.
