Titans fall to Giants, beat Clippers

The TCU Titan girls basketball team improved its overall record of 3-10 after its beat the Cleveland Clippers last week on Tuesday, before falling to the Le Sueur-Henderson Giants on Friday.

According to Titan Coach Don Marcussen, this was a close ball game pretty much right up until the last minutes of the game, and the difference could have been his team was down two starters due to covid protocol. He noted the game plan had to be quickly adjusted instead of maybe getting a few days to adjust the line-up.
“I thought some of the girls who were asked to play heavier minutes did a great job of picking up the slack, but there were still some mistakes made due to lack of experience late in the game,” the coach stated. “We will have to continue this week without the two players and get ready for the next three games without them.”
Marcussen noted Sophomore Kaia Krocak continues to play well on the inside for TCU. As the season has progressed, the athlete has too.
“Early in the season, I felt she was not quite sure what her role was,” he said. “She wasn’t playing with a lot of self-confidence at the varsity level. As she has gained experience and heavier minutes, I now see her looking more aggressively at the basket, and at times, playing more...
