Boys break losing streak with win over Shattuck-St. Mary’s

The Titan boys’ basketball team broke its 12-game losing streak when they hosted Shattuck-St. Mary’s on January 14. The Titans won by a score of 65-31.

Coach Austin Pinke said the kids have been working hard and they earned the win.

“We talk about opportunities and taking advantage of opportunities when they are presented. Hank (Holicky) had an opportunity and he did well with it.”

Freshman Holicky scored 23 of the team’s points, followed by Matthew Rabenberg’s 18 points. Jonathan Hurd sank 6 points for the Titans, and Carlos Estevez, Dawson Gindt, Collin Barnett and Tanner Smith scored 4 points each. Chase Vargo added 2.
