National Night Out events set for Tuesday

National Night Out (Night to Unite) will be held Tuesday, August 3.

The 17th annual Elysian National Night Out will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Lake Francis City Park.

There will be a free meal consisting of hot dogs, chips, and a drink, door prizes, bounce house, face painting, and a ballon artist. Elysian Fire Department, Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Posse, North Ambulance, and Elysian Rescue Squad will be on hand to answer questions.

The annual event in Waterville will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Waterville Fire Department this year, instead of the swimming beach or the city shop.

Firemen and police officers will be among those on hand to chat with residents. There will also be a free meal consisting of hot dogs, chips, a drink, and even a root beer float.

The Morristown Commercial Club and the Morristown Fire Department will be sponsoring the National Night Out event this year at the Babe Nordmeier Baseball Field from 6 to 8 p.m.

As has been in the past, a free hot dog dinner with beans, potato chips and other goodies will be available to residents of Morristown.
