Cobras pitch shutout against WEM

The Triton baseball team limited the Buccaneer nine to six hits and no runs in a 9-0 win Thursday, April 21 in Waterville.

The Bucs did collect a season-best six hits in the loss, but nine errors allowed Triton to score five unearned runs.

Maverick Herrley and Ethan Greenwald each finished with a pair of hits. Greenwald was 2-for-4 and Herrley was 2-for-3.

Ivan Pratt and Elijah Wetzel also added singles.

Pratt started the game and was charged with the loss, allowing three earned runs on three hits. He walked four and struck out five in three innings.

Caleb Caron pitched the final four innings, allowing one earned run on five hits. He struck out five, walked one, and hit two batters.

The Bucs, 0-2 in the conference and overall, will play at Kenyon-Wanamingo Wednesday, April 27, host United South Central Thursday, April 28, play at Glenville-Emmons Friday, April 29, play at Maple River Monday, May 2, and host JWP Tuesday, May 3.
